Welcome! Our church is a place where everyone is invited to discover who God is. Here at First Christian, we are a place where people of all backgrounds can experience a God who is real and relevant in their lives today.
Join us for worship at 9:00 AM or 11:00 AM
We offer TWO weekly worship experiences.
9:00 AM Progressive Worship and Facebook Live
11:00 AM Traditional Worship and Facebook Live
All are welcome here.
Each Sunday we meet in the Fellowship Hall for an ALL church Sunday School Class with Grace Chapel at 10:00 AM.
Our study is by Jill J. Duffield and it called Lent in Plain Sight. This study consider 10 everyday objects from Biblical perspective and invites us into a Lenten walk toward the cross and resurrection.
Join us on Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM on Zoom for a study on one of the more significant issues in our country: hunger in America. This study will use the book I Was Hungry: Cultivating Common Ground to End an American Crisis by Jeremy Everett.

Saying YES to God-sized dreams!
Church can be an intimidating place to visit - especially if you don't know what to expect. We invite you to experience what the gospel means both intellectually and relationally at one of our Sunday worship services. You can engage with others and find ways for your whole family to connect. We hope that visiting with us allows you to experience the hope, love, and joy that comes from a community of people who love Jesus.
We look for God's love in our lives as evidence that we have been truly worshiping God.
At First Christian, communion is at the heart of our worship. Our table is open and we believe that ALL are welcome!
9:00 AM Progressive Worship
11:00 AM Traditional Worship
Plan Your Visit: Email Rev. T.J. Shoop-York for more information and to help us best plan to meet you before worship.
Free childcare is available during Sunday Worship.
We are the red brick church located at 29 N. Oakes, downtown near Shannon Hospital.
Our parking lots are located off College St between Oakes and Chadbourne.
Although there are several entrances into the church, the best entrance is in the rear by the playground.
We are proud of our historical building though it can cause challenges for first-time guests; if you get turned around, just ask a greeter for help.
