Mission and Outreach

First Christian has a long history of mission-minded ministry. Below is a list of a few ministries that we are committed to serving alongside.

  • Meals for the Elderly
  • Plaza Del Sol 1 & 2 (independent low-income housing for senior adults; owned and operated by Disciples of Christ Inc. of San Angelo) 
  • United Campus Ministries at Angelo State University
  • Project Dignidad
  • Wesley Soup Kitchen
  • Christmas Baskets (providing food, clothes, and gifts for families)
  • God’s Storehouse (in-house food pantry opened on Mondays from 2:00 – 3:30 pm)

During our annual In His Steps pledge campaign, church members are encouraged to select ministries they'd like to serve.

food pantry

God's Storehouse is a weekly in-house food pantry that provides groceries at no cost to families in San Angelo. Each week we serve about 150 families.


You can donate non-perishable items by dropping them off in the large labeled outreach bins throughout the church. 


The food pantry is open Mondays from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Donate your pocket change! We collect coins all year to be used when there is a special need, ministry, or mission. 


Put your change into the labeled pickle jars outside the entrance of each worship space on Sundays.
