COVID-19 and First Christian Church

As we continue to navigate the ever-changing landscape of the Coronavirus, we are committed to finding ways to stay connected as a faith community while serving the city of San Angelo.

Below are a few ways we are looking forward to serving our community through prayer, outreach, and worship.

Weather permitting, we will have a drive through service line where volunteers will give pre-packed food boxes to those in need. If it rains, clients can come inside to grab a box.

    Worship and Prayer

On Friday, March 27th, spend 30 minutes in prayer over our local schools and government/ city leaders.

You can do this from the comfort of your home, or (if weather permits) while walking around the exterior structure of a school facility and/or city hall. You can even find a parking spot and pray from your car.

We are excited to partner with KCSA (a local radio station) for Sunday worship. Together we will create a worship experience that will allow individuals to worship from the parking lot of First Christian Church in the comfort (and safety) of their car.

Make plans to join us on Sunday, March 29 at 11:00 AM for a Drive-In Worship.

You will remain in your car at all times and only the worship leaders will be on foot. All you will need to do is turn your car's radio to 97.1 FM for a live broadcast of worship. We will have an outdoor stage setup for the service. Together will join in prayer, communion, music, and a short message. The service will last approximately 45 minutes.

We will also try to livestream this worship experience via Facebook, but because the service will be outside, our technology resources are limited, and we cannot guarantee livestream. However, you will be able to tune in to 97.1 from anywhere in Tom Green County or listen from the KCSA website at

We are excited about this worship experience and hope that you will make plans to join us in the church parking lot!

Worship and Meals for the Elderly

We will provide drives for Meals for the Elderly during the month of April. We have about 110 routes to fill. For many home bound elderly, the meals they receive from Meals for the Elderly are the only hot meals they get.
